Every year Silverado families are surveyed by U.S. News & World Report about their experience with us. Here are just a few comments shared by verified Silverado Southlake family members when surveyed:
“Silverado shows that what residents really need is an environment with loving caretakers and interaction with others. It’s more about the care, attention and activities, and less about the “Grand Hotel” like buildings you see elsewhere. Silverado is a very comfortable environment.”
“My mother passed away during the height of COVID lockdown. My family and I did not realize the extent dad was incapacitated/impacted by Dementia. After some time, frustration, guilt, and tears, we realized dad needed memory care. It was a huge blessing to find Silverado and they made our dad’s transition as comfortable as possible. They took the time to really get to know him and made him feel loved, valued, and safe. Thank you Silverado!”
“For over a year now Silverado Southlake has become my Mom’s new home. It truly feels like a home for the residents! I was very nervous about moving my mom 5 hours from her home and leaving her church and friends which she has known forever. Although she would be close to me and my family she was leaving so much behind. That being said, it has been such a blessing having her so close to me and being able to spend time with her! I’m not going to lie it was an adjustment in the beginning for her. However, Silverado has now become her home and it makes me melt to see how the residents look after one another and have become friends and family. The staff at Silverado Southlake is one of a kind! I honestly love each and every one of them and tell them that! It’s a very special place!!”
“When I realized my mom was going straight from living independently in her home to memory care, I visited over ten facilities. Silverado stood head and shoulders over the others. The physical facility is open, clean, home-like and well maintained. The outdoor areas are beautiful. The tiered memory care recognizes that all dementia patients are not the same. Her care is focused on a high-functioning dementia patient. The activities are varied and engaging: museums, community philanthropy projects, dance classes, gardening, happy hours. The staff is wonderful – they love on the residents and are compassionate with them. The cost is in line with most of the other facilities I visited and was not the most expensive. My mom has been a resident for 10 months and we have had no problems.”
“Finding the Silverado community for my mother was an answer to many prayers. Tears of joy & thanksgiving streamed from my eyes as learned about the Silverado philosophy of memory care. My mother is safe, engaged, loved, & cared for in a memory care facility that feels like home. It seems like everyone loves my mom & is aware & knowledgeable about what is going on with her. The Silverado Team feels like my family. In some instances, I feel closer to them than I do to my siblings because, together, we are helping my mom experience a quality of life at the end of her life. I love the people who love my mom! I can talk to them, express any concerns I might have, & they listen & respond. I couldn’t ask for anything more for my mom’s final chapter in life.”
